When a solider gets a medal for valor when in truth they firebombed a village full of people who had nothing to do with war.
When a corporate manager earns a his family a nice bonus for saving money when in truth he fired 100’s destroying their lives for his gain. The nurse who lets the racist die knowing that they just took a father away from three children who only know daddy isn’t coming home.
Each of them made a choice.
BRD is walking this world with the pain of the suffered knowing he was the affliction sent upon them. At first he was embarrassed. Then he accepted his fate.
Now?
The fire has consumed him. Destroying people for the sake of their suffering is not just his duty, it is his honor. His joy. His lust. Damning the damned. Hurting the hurt. With a bat. With a brick. With a boot. For he is the one who walks the Wasteland.
